LEO Partners with Viettel Post to Launch Cross-Border Transport Services between Thailand, Vietnam, and China, Strengthening Comprehensive Logistics Capabilities

LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited (LEO), a leading End-to-End Logistics Service Provider in Thailand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation with Viettel Post Corporation, marking a new chapter in two-way cross-border transportation between Thailand and China via Vietnam. This partnership aims to enhance international freight services and further expand LEO’s fully integrated logistics network.

Mr. Kettivit Sittisoontornwong, CEO of LEO Global Logistics, announced that on July 1, 2024, LEO entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Viettel Post Corporation at Viettel Post’s headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam. The objective is to jointly develop cross-border logistics systems for the export and import of agricultural products from Thailand to China via Vietnam, as well as to formulate a plan for importing e-commerce goods from China to Thailand and distributing them throughout ASEAN countries.

The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, who served as an official witness.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both LEO and Viettel Post in strengthening their End-to-End Global Logistics services. Both parties will jointly design logistics strategies for cross-border agricultural exports to China and seamless e-commerce imports from China through Vietnam into Thailand. The use of cross-border trucking and rail transport along this route will increase efficiency, reduce delivery times, and better meet market demand. Moreover, the initiative promotes collaboration with customs and local authorities, paving the way for a truly seamless and connected cross-border logistics infrastructure.

“I firmly believe that this partnership between Viettel Post and LEO will yield great benefits and open up new opportunities in cross-border logistics,” said Mr. Kettivit. “It will significantly reduce border transit times—especially at the Vietnam-China crossing. In international trade, logistics infrastructure plays a vital role as a bridge that connects economies. This collaboration will not only enhance trade routes between China, Vietnam, and Thailand but will also foster broader economic cooperation within the ASEAN region.”

Viettel Post Corporation is Vietnam’s largest logistics company by market share, equipped with state-of-the-art parcel sorting technology. The company specializes in domestic and international express delivery, warehousing, and other logistics services. With over 27 years of experience, Viettel Post has earned numerous prestigious awards and boasts the highest growth rate in Vietnam’s logistics sector. It is also a subsidiary of Viettel Group, Vietnam’s largest state-owned telecommunications and mobile network operator.
